Yeah, a lot going on with the panos format of late. One area we monitor is that of the Panoramic AND Night Photography (the merging of) - this practice handily ventures beyond the standard usage of “enhanced classic landscape” - as good NPy is all about story-telling.

BTW, The Nocturnes recently announced our latest online exhibit - The Panocturnists!- http://www.thepanocturnists.com - We plan to dredge the nocturnal corners of the World W I D E Web in search of haunting, borders-extending NPy in the panoramic format, captured and/or constructed, on film or digital media. Juried by Chris Faust whose brilliant book, “Nocturnes” provided the impetus for this fascination with, and study of the Panocturne. People interested in particpating in this exhibit can go to http://www.thenocturnes.com/forms/entryform_panos.html for the prospectus and an entryform to submit work.

BTW, I like your analogy - likening the length of songs to the aspect ratio of images - truly, an idea a “Nocturne” can love!

    Thanks for “a misleading moment.”
